Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To be able to define and express the results of measurement and evaluation specific to the athlete in sports physiotherapy.
Course Content: Banding definition and physiological properties
Taping techniques in the clinic
Fingers, wrist, elbow, shoulder taping
Toes, ankle, knee, thigh and hip taping
Columna vertebralis taping techniques
Techniques and discussion about taping in the literature

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Comprehends and understands the basic principles of taping methods used in the prevention and treatment of soft tissue injuries, and taping styles according to body parts and injury type, theoretically and practically.
2) Gains knowledge and skills about all taping techniques and injury-specific taping.
3) Understands the application of taping methods used during the prevention and treatment of injuries in sports physiotherapy.
4) She/he plans research on the principles and practices used in the field, court and / or hall, measurement and evaluation methods, interprets the results of her studies by choosing appropriate statistical methods, writes the report and presents it in scientific meetings.
5) As a team member, the physiotherapist works multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, communicates effectively and reflects her individual skills and responsibilities in group work.
