Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to introduce the physiotherapist's place in public health, public health models, preventive physiotherapy methods in healthy people, children, the elderly, obese and the disabled, and the concepts of community-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Course Content: Within the scope of this course, physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods that can be applied in terms of preventable health problems will be discussed.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows the concept of public health.
2) Knows the importance of physiotherapy in the concept of public health and the appropriate physiotherapy approaches that can be used.
3) Understands the importance of physical activity and exercise in terms of preventable diseases in different groups.
