Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Physiotherapists have knowledge about basic genetics and human genetics, genetic and genomic tests, mutations and hereditary diseases, sports performance and the relationship between injuries and genetics, and teaching exercise prescribing to genetic diseases and gene-specific athletes.
Course Content: Basic genetics and human genetics, genetic and genomic testing, mutations and hereditary diseases, exercise in genetic diseases, Athlete, sports performance and the relationship between injuries and genetics.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Gains knowledge about basic genetics and human genetics, genetic and genomic testing, mutations and hereditary diseases.
2) The athlete will have information about the relationship between sports performance and injuries and genetics.
3) Plans and implements an exercise program specific to genetic diseases.
4) Plans and implements a gene-specific exercise program for the athlete.
