Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To provide physiotherapists with advanced knowledge and application skills about cardiopulmonary evaluation methods.
Course Content: Patient history, accompanying problems, risk factors and cardiovascular system evaluation, clinical laboratory findings, electrocardiogram, vital signs and monitoring. Cardiopulmonary exercise tests and interpretation. Evaluation of signs and symptoms of patients with respiratory problems, chest evaluation, evaluation of clinical laboratory findings, dynamic and static pulmonary function tests and interpretation of arterial blood gases.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows and applies cardiovascular system evaluations
2) Reads and interprets clinical laboratory findings, electrocardiogram, vital signs.
3) Applies cardiopulmonary exercise tests and interprets the results
4) Evaluates pulmonary system diseases.
5) Reads and interprets clinical laboratory findings, arterial blood gases.
6) Applies dynamic and static pulmonary function tests and interprets the results.
