Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To provide information on how to apply cognitive-behavioral practices that can be used by physiotherapists in a theoretical framework. Explaining psychological models and giving information about the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy as a tool to increase the effectiveness of physiotherapy practices.
Course Content: Origin and historical development of cognitive-behavioral therapy, Incorporating cognitive-behavioral approaches into the treatment plan, Biomedical links between cognition and behavior, Chronic pain, Fibromyalgia management using cognitive behavioral principles, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Chronic fatigue syndrome management, Exercise compliance, Cognitive- behavioral strategies, Examining the evidence for cognitive-behavioral approaches in different disease groups.
