Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to make students comprehend the content, importance, methods and fields of studies with experimental animals, which have a very important place in the field of experimental oncology and in planning oncology research.
Course Content: Selection of experimental animals in oncological studies, ethics of experimental animals, tumor models, metastasis models and drug applications in experimental animals.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To understand the importance and place of the use of experimental animals in oncology research.
2) To know which experimental animal is used for what purpose in oncology research,
3) To learn the methods of creating a tumor model in experimental animals.
4) To comprehend the ethical aspects to be considered in studies using experimental animals.
5) To be able to plan an oncology-related experimental animal study
