Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is to explain the developments for democracy in Turkey, starting from the Ottoman Empire, by identifying the Turkish political life and transformations at the undergraduate level of the participants. Focusing on historical developments, especially in the Republican era, is to provide the participants with the necessary equipment to be able to analyze the social structures and classes related to democracy in Turkey, based on facts and processes.
Course Content: The nationalization process that started with the French Revolution and the development of the concept of popular sovereignty, which started with the French Revolution, in the Ottoman Empire and right after it, especially in the Republic of Turkey, will be examined in this course. Historical transformations and the theoretical developments that triggered these transformations will be discussed and analyzed in fourteen weeks.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) The student knows the subject of political life and developments in Turkey.
2) Gains knowledge of the concepts and historical periods that are frequently emphasized in political science.
3) Defines the definition and historical transformations of democracy and the reflection of these transformations in Turkey.
4) Explain democracy and political institutions and the development of these institutions in Turkey.
5) Defines the positive and negative effects on democratization processes in Turkey.

1) Prepare and implement therapy programs to prevent, evaluate, diagnose and diagnose language and speech disorders by using original theoretical and practical knowledge and equipments acquired in the field. Change or terminate the process and application where necessary.
1) -To be able to use advanced theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field. -To be able to interpret and evaluate data, to define and analyze problems, to develop solutions based on research and evidence, using the advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field. - To be able to inform the relevant people and institutions on the issues related to the field; to be able to convey their thoughts and suggestions for solutions to problems verbally and in writing. - Being able to carry out an advanced study in the field independently.
2) Have the knowledge of teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques related to language and speech therapy.
3) Comprehends the methods related to the production of scientific knowledge.
4) To apply the historical development of the profession and the acquired knowledge and skills in the field of language and speech disorders according to the principles of professional ethics.
5) Applies the principles of professional development and learning, communication and social skills in the fields of work.
6) Use the acquired knowledge, skills and problem solving skills in the field of language and speech therapy as interdiscipliner, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary.
