Course Objectives:

The aim of the course is to protect the health and safety of employees in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal requirements, to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases and to increase awareness of occupational health and safety. In this way, it contributes to making workplaces a safer and healthier environment.

Course Content:

The main objectives of the Fundamentals of Occupational Health and Safety course are

Understanding Risks at Workplaces: This course provides students with basic knowledge to recognize potential hazards and risks in the workplace. It helps workers and employers to identify workplace hazards and learn how to take precautions against them.

Compliance with Legal Requirements: The OHS course provides students with information about OHS laws, regulations and standards that apply in the workplace. It ensures that workers and employers act in accordance with legal requirements.

Creating Occupational Health and Safety Awareness: The course aims to raise awareness of occupational health and safety issues among workers and employers. It encourages workers to pay more attention to safety in the workplace and to develop a culture of occupational health and safety.

Prevention of Occupational Accidents and Diseases: OHS course emphasizes the measures to be taken to prevent occupational accidents and diseases in the workplace. It provides students with information on what steps to take to reduce risks and improve occupational health and safety.

Improving Productivity and Quality of Work in Workplaces: The proper implementation of OHS practices can increase productivity and improve the quality of work in workplaces. The Fundamentals of Occupational Health and Safety course teaches students how they can contribute to these issues.

11) They will have skills such as negotiating with the group, taking initiative.
12) Acquire basic values related to media and business ethics.
13) Follow the developments in the field and communicate with colleagues by using a foreign language at least at the level of European Language Portfolio B1.
14) Students use information and communication technologies together with computer software at the advanced level of European Computer Driving License required by the field.
