Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: At the end of the semester, students will be able to competently prepare character design, object weapon design, and interior and exterior concept designs that can be applied in the game and film industry at an advanced level in the fields of concept design.
Course Content: This course includes the following topics: Examining the development of concept design in the field of animation, game and film industry, What is concept design?, What are the techniques used in concept design, Perspective types, The importance of silhouette in character design, Sample application on silhouette, Adding dimension and texture to silhouette studies with photobash technique, Pose studies from model and reference, Story flow of the character, Facial expressions, Costume design, Landscape studies for concept, Color and Psychology in Design, Creating a visual from two different concepts.

1) Transfers information about the Concept Design process to his/her work.
2) Can use digital tools correctly and efficiently in line with the process.
3) Integrates the use of artificial intelligence into its work during the Concept Design process.
