Course Objectives: | To give information about the history of typography, basic terms, basic fonts. To teach typographic design criteria in the light of applied projects. |
Course Content: | Form-content relations, geometric abstraction and simplification, visual hierarchy, typographic composition and methods of creating integrity. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) They reach the ability to recognize and use the style features of typefaces. 2) They can gain visual meanings by learning the relationship between space and text designs. 3) They can create their own font family by learning the structural features of the fonts. |
