Course Objectives: | Thinking is the most important criterion that separates human beings from other living things. Human beings have a thought potential that they have with their innate and development. Human nature wants to live and may have to endure all kinds of difficulties in order to maintain it. However, when our thoughts are left to their own devices, they are egocentric, biased, distorted, partial, ignorant, completely biased, and unjust. (book) accepting this situation is our most natural behavior motto. What could be different anyway? From a really good thinking process; Functions such as being problem oriented, analyzing in depth, using logic, reasoning and approaching rationality are expected. Thinking is judged by being rational or not. At the base of this judgment are judgments such as reasoning or non-analyzing. Logic comes into play at this stage and invites us to right thought. Logic expects us to focus on the problem and analyze it well. The clear meaning of this word, which means rational, based on the rules of reason, measured, calculated in Turkish, and whose antonym is irrational; It is behavior that means 'reasoning, acquired through reason'. According to the TDK, rationality has the meaning that is in accordance with the rules of reason, suitable for understanding, consistent and in accordance with logical frameworks. Although the word rationality is a philosophical term, it is based on the principle that 'the basis of life is rationality'. Does not attach importance to sensory experiences or takes them into the background. It adopts deductive thinking. At the very center of the Age of Enlightenment, the idea of rationality, that is, 'kneading everything with the mind method', is essential. Because the quality of our life, what we produce, what we do or what we build depends entirely on the quality of our thoughts. It may be possible to increase the quality of thought in the right place, at the right time and with the right communication. If we are managing or working in a team, acting rationally can enable us to produce solutions at a point away from conflict. This concept, which is also called critical thinking, can provide us with little harm in every subject. However, we can have very different ways of thinking individually. This course was opened with the aim of discussing these situations and discussing the most rational solutions to problems and projects in information systems. |
