Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to inform students about basic management and organization concepts, theories, functions, and contemporary management techniques and tools used in businesses today, and to make students aware of the innovations resulting from digital transformation in the field of management and organization. With this knowledge, it is aimed to gain a perspective that can understand management processes and organizational structures and realize digital transformation as a management information systems specialist.
Course Content: This course covers the basic concepts of management and organization, the historical development of management theories, functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, controlling), and contemporary approaches, practices, and techniques in the field of management. All these subjects will be discussed from the perspective of digital transformation and innovations brought by digitalization.
