Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of research methods in social sciences, as well as to improve the students’ necessary skills required for their academic studies. In this course, students gain experience of explaining, interpreting and solving a focused research problem with the help of quantitative and qualitative methods.
Course Content: Research design, literature review, research methods in social sciences, quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, writing research report.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Understand and define what is research problem.
2) Understand the important role of theory in designing research.
3) Be aware of how possible to integrate a wide range of methods both qualitative and quantitative in their researches.
4) Choose appropriate methods for their research problems using a critical approach.
5) Prepare their research reports professionally.
