Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of statistical thinking in social sciences, as well as to improve the students’ necessary skills required for their academic studies.
Course Content: Introduction to basic statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, parametric and non-parametric tests, statistical softwares.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Design an “end-to-end” research project about related topic.
2) Collect and use appropriate data for their researches.
3) Define research questions and hypotheses.
4) Use appropriate statistical methods to test their hypotheses.
5) Interpret and evaluate analysis results.

12) Students will be able to communicate their ideas and solutions both written and orally, and present and publish them on both national and international platforms.
13) Uses information and communication technologies together with computer software at the advanced level of European Computer Using License required by the field.
