Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:

The aim of this course; It is expected that the student will start professional applications with the technical knowledge he will acquire in the light of the basic knowledge he has obtained about the sector. It is necessary to recognize the glasses according to their properties, to be able to distinguish, to perform the measurement processes and to be able to mount single-focus lenses in closed frames.

Course Content:

Classification of spectacle lenses according to their properties, measurement of single-focus, multifocal lenses with the help of a phosphorometer, making simple frame repairs and assembling the glass to the closed frame with a hand stone.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Classifies eyeglass lenses according to their properties.
2) It determines the dioptric power of single-focus, bifocal glasses with the help of a focometer.
3) Simple frame repairs, repairs
4) Determines Pd distance and mounting height
5) Mounts single vision and multifocal lenses to metal and plastic frames.
