Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to introduce the structure of the human eye, optics of vision and refractive errors of the eye lens, as well as how to correct these defects and the optical equipment used to correct them.
Course Content: -The optics of the human eye and its properties
-Refraction errors and explanation of technical terms
-Transpose
-Writing a prescription for glasses
-Objective and Subjective Inspection Methods

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the optics of the human eye.
2) Explains professional information about optics.
3) Knows the refraction defects and has information about how to correct the defects.
4) Knows and reads the rules of eyeglass prescription writing.
5) It performs the transpose operation.
6) Knows Objective and Subjective Examination methods.
