Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills of newly graduated nursing and allied healthcare students to create a culture of patient safety and quality, and to make effective leadership, communication and teamwork in order to ensure continuous improvement in nursing-related indicators within the scope of quality standards in health and patient safety. |
Course Content: | Quality management course in health; it includes the basic concepts of quality management in healthcare services, total quality management, measuring quality in healthcare services, patient safety in healthcare and nursing services, continuous improvement, quality assurance systems and improving quality indicators related to nursing and healthcare within the scope of quality standards. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Become aware of the philosophy and principles of quality management in healthcare services. 2) Evaluates the impact of leadership on the quality management of health and nursing services. 3) Analyzes the impact of patient safety culture on health and nursing services. 4) Evaluates the impact of teamwork on the quality of health and nursing services. 5) Evaluates the impact of teamwork on the quality of health and nursing services. |
