Course Objectives: | It is aimed to provide students with the knowledge and skills related to learning the spelling, pronunciation and meanings of medical terms used in health fields. |
Course Content: | With this course, students will be able to learn the meanings, spellings and pronunciations of medical terms used in the fields of health, and will be able to easily understand and use these terms when they encounter them in their professional and daily lives. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Recognizes basic structures, idioms and roots in terminological terms. 2) Recognizes the prefixes and suffixes of terms. 3) Recognizes radiological and nuclear medicine terms, clinical and laboratory terms, anatomical terms, directional terms. 4) Recognizes diagnostic terminology concepts. 5) Explain the meanings of anatomical terms, symptoms, diagnosis and surgery terms related to physiological systems. |

3) He/She has the basic knowledge, skills and equipment suitable to the contemporary health technician approach, to be able to carry out communication with the patient, to take responsibility and to develop solutions when faced with an unforeseen situation related to the field. | |||||||||||||||
4) Without giving any harm to patients,he/she gives importance to hygiene asepsis-antisepsis, sterilization, contamination and infection with the basic knowledge about the health care work environment. | |||||||||||||||
