Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to teach medical biology as basic science and to inform students about vital functions in the cell. |
Course Content: | General information about the history of medical biology, carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, cell, cell organelles and intracellular transport systems, nucleic acids, DNA replication, transcription, translation mechanisms. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains general information about medical biology. 2) Explains general information about carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. 3) Recognize the structure and types of the cell. 4) Organelles, structures and operations recognizes. 5) Explain cell cycle and division. 6) Explain DNA replication, transcription and translation. |
