Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To teach students the basics of risk management in health institutions and its development over time.
Course Content: The course focuses on the fundamentals of risk management and its evolution over time. It covers how to define, measure and manage risk, taking students on a tour of the historical process and from Bernoulli, who contributed to the field over time, to Laplace, Keynes, and Kenneth Arrow, the pioneer of risk management and derivatives. During the semester, the course focuses on modern risk management distributions. The course concludes the semester by addressing the tools used in risk management.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Easily identifies risk in health institutions
2) Explain the concept of risk management in health services and physiotherapy.
3) Compares the theories shaping current risk management practices.
4) Explains macroeconomic and political risks in the field of health and how they can be measured.
5) Evaluates the balance sheets of health institutions in terms of risk.

1) Knows the basic concepts and terminology, evaluation processes and methodological application principles in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation; uses this advanced knowledge in study, research and practice.
2) Makes the necessary assessment, definition and planning for physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications by using the theoretical and applied concepts and principles related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation. 1 2 1 1 1
3) Implements the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program systematically and safely within the framework of ethical principles in the light of professional attitudes and skills; terminates or changes as necessary.
