Course Objectives: | The aim of the course for each student; The aim of the course is to cover general pharmacology concepts; absorption, distribution, excretion and detoxification mechanisms and to teach some class of drugs mechanisms of action and its's clinical use. |
Course Content: | This course covers general pharmacology concepts; absorption, distribution, excretion and detoxification mechanisms; It includes drugs used in some diseases and their mechanisms of action. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Define basic concepts in pharmacology and toxicology. 2) Comprehends the basic mechanisms of action of drugs. 3) Comprehends biological responses created by pharmacological agents 4) Learns pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties of drugs effective in organ systems. 5) Evaluates the adverse effects of drugs. |
