| Course Objectives: | To understand the emotional, cognitive, and biopsychosocial processes that influence human behavior; to gain competence in the factors affecting language, cognitive, social, and emotional development. In addition, it is aimed that professionals who will work in the healthcare field acquire a comprehensive understanding of the timeline of human psychological development and develop knowledge on how to appropriately approach individuals while delivering healthcare services. |
| Course Content: | This course focuses on the basic concepts of psychology. It includes the following subheadings; It gives the opportunity to know the history of psychology and other fields related to psychology. It covers the positioning of psychology as a scientific discipline, how behavioral and mental processes are handled with a historical perspective, and with which methods they are examined. It includes topics such as human behavior and social environment, developmental stages (child, youth, adult, elder psychology) and personality development. |
