Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to provide the students with basic chemistry information about different disciplines of chemistry, to develop problem-solving skills as well as to theoretical knowledge, to give practical theoretical information, to draw the attention of the student to the connection of chemistry with daily life.
Course Content: Matter: Properties and Measurement; Atoms and Atomic Theory; Chemical Compounds; Chemical Reactions; Introduction to Reactions in Aqueous Solutions; gases; Thermochemistry; Electron Structure of Atom; Periodic Table and Some Atomic Properties; Chemical Bonds1: Basic Concepts; Chemical Bonds 2: Bond Theories

1) Students will understand the logic of chemistry.
2) Students will be able to apply the subjects they have learned to different disciplines.
3) Students will be ready to practice in a laboratory environment.
