Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to analyze the reasoning technics and the different types of argument that are necessary for a consistent philosophical investigation.
Course Content: The fundamental principles of critical thinking will be studied; major argument types will be analyzed; differences between good reasoning and bad reasoning will be explored.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Learn how to analyze argumentsa and how to determine the conclusions and premisses.
2) Get knowledge about linguistic facts and rhetorical ploys.
3) Learn about deductive validity, differentiates good reasoning from bad reasoning.
4) Get knowledge about induction and the theory of probability.
5) Learn the technics of argument reconstruction.
