Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:	To perform preventive applications, minor to major restorative procedures in primary and permanent teeth, pulpotomy in primary teeth, fixed and removable space maintainers, to make more practice about oral hygiene motivation for the child and parents, behavior management methods, clinical and radiographic examination.
Course Content:	Preventive applications, topical fluoride applications, minor to major restorative procedures in children, pulpotomy in primary teeth, extraoral and intraoral examination, radiographic examination, behavior management methods, treatment planning, oral hygiene motivation, space maintainers

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Examines the pediatric patient's behavioral pattern and applies the most suitable behavioral management technique to the patient.
2) Performs intraoral and extraoral examination and radiographic examination.
3) Plans appropriate treatment for the pediatric patient.
4) Performs preventive practices under supervision.
5) Applies minimal restorative treatments under supervision.
6) Motivates the oral hygiene education of the child and the parents.
7) Applies a fixed and removable space maintainer.
8) Performs pulpotomy in primary teeth.
