Course Objectives: | Teaching the pathogenesis of pulp and periapical diseases, examination and diagnosis methods necessary for endodontic treatment, treatment planning stages, root canal treatment methods, possible complications and solutions are the objectives of the course. |
Course Content: | Knowledge of theoretical/practical knowledge and materials required for clinical endodontics |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows pulp and periapical tissue diseases and can effectively diagnose and treat them. 2) Has basic theoretical knowledge on endodontic immunology and microbiology and has the ability to associate this knowledge with clinical applications. 3) Has knowledge of endodontic treatment planning, indications and contraindications, clinical tests and up-to-date equipment to be used for diagnosis 4) Has sufficient knowledge of the necessary tools, materials, root canal preparation, and filling techniques to perform endodontic treatment. 5) Has knowledge on vital pulp treatments, cracked tooth syndrome and pulp protection. 6) Knows of traumatic dental injuries and emergency applications in endodontics. |
