Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to perform cavity preparation on teeth, application of cavity lining materials, cements, amalgam, composite filling materials, dentin bonding systems, adhesive systems, in preclinical environment and on phantom teeth.
Course Content: Cavity preparation and application of cavity lining materials, cement, amalgam, composite fillers, dentin bonding systems, adhesive systems in preclinical and phantom laboratories

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Diagnoses tooth caries clinically and radiographically
2) Knows and performs caries removal and cavity preparation principles
3) Knows and performs lining and base applications to prepared cavities
4) Knows and applies amalgam restoration of prepared cavities.
5) Knows and performs composite restoration of prepared cavities
6) Knows and applies how materials used in dental restoration are polished.
