Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To expand student’s perspective on molecular level investigation of addiction
Course Content: Addiction, molecular targets of addictive drugs, reward pathway, neurotransmission, in vitro and in vivo methodology for addiction studies

1) Define addiction as a disease
2) Explain the biomolecules in neurotransmission

4) Explain the common molecular mechanisms of addictive substances

1) When Istinye University Faculty of Medicine student is graduated who knows the historical development of medicine, medical practices, and the medical profession and their importance for society.

3) is capable of systematically taking an accurate and effective social and medical history from their patients and make a comprehensive physical examination.
