Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is about the role of the job coach, task analysis, general characteristics of individuals with mental retardation, social and emotional status, individual education goals for young people with mental disabilities, legal practices for people with disabilities, problems that may arise from the working environment, and communication problems that may be encountered with colleagues is to provide information. |
Course Content: | This course provides skills on creating an individual training plan for young people with intellectual disabilities, doing task analysis as a job coach, giving tips to individuals to carry out the tasks given to individuals with intellectual disabilities, evaluating the development of individuals with intellectual disabilities, coping strategies for problems in the work environment. It includes the preparation and discussion of case studies about individuals with disabilities. |

1) Students learn general assessment methods. 2) They can do job analysis for mentally handicapped individuals. 3) They can create a supported working environment. 4) They can develop strategies for problems that may arise in the business environment and provide crisis management. |
