Course Objectives: | To comprehend the importance of sexuality for himself and the individuals he will serve in a healthy life; become aware of their sexual values, attitudes and responsibilities; It is to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to protect and develop the sexual health of oneself and the individuals in the society. |
Course Content: | Basic Concepts of Sexuality, Factors Affecting Sexuality, Dimensions of Sexuality, Anatomy and Physiology of Reproductive Organs, Physiology of Sexual Action, Sexual Health / Reproductive Health Problems in Turkey and the World, Development of Gender Identity, Gender Roles and Affecting Factors, Adolescent Health, Adolescents Family Planning and Pregnancy, Gender, Sexual Health Rights and Legal Regulations Regarding Sexual Health, Non-Normal Behaviors Regarding Sexuality, Premarital Counseling and Sex Education, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Evaluation of Sexuality and Reproductive Functions and Evaluation of the Course. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) 1.Defines the concepts and affecting factors related to sexual health, explains its importance, scope and purpose. 2) 2. Distinguishes risky situations and deviations from health for lifelong sexual health of the individual. 3) 3.Defines the factors affecting the development of sexual identity and sexual roles. 4) 4. Defines the concept of gender and explains its importance. 5) 5. Will be able to discuss non-normative behaviors towards sexuality. 6) 6. Comprehends the importance of sexual health education. |
