Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to make a comprehensive analysis of the components of Middle Eastern history. Within the scope of this course, the background of the political events in the Middle East countries in recent years and their effects on today will be analyzed.
Course Content: This course is to provide students with a holistic approach about the region by examining the evolution of the modern Middle East. Accordingly, in this course, the political and strategic position of the contemporary Middle East and related developments are tried to be understood as a basic introduction, starting from a historical, cultural and geographical background.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows the birth and development of modern political history, the historical background of the concepts used in the field of political science.
2) Basic terms related to political science are taught. He can make inferences about the political future.
3) Knows the effects and institutional development of politically defined actors in history.
4) Defines the Modern International System. Knows the basic facts and problems on which the system is based.
5) Defines and discusses the formation and development of the world system after the Industrial Revolution and Finally in the Twentieth Century.
6) To be able to describe major problems, political systems, ideas, actors and to draw inferences from historical experiences in the region.
