Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Explaining the concepts of safety and security on aircraft and flight, understanding their importance. At the same time, it is aimed to learn the precautions to be taken to ensure airport and flight security.


Course Content: It includes security elements that threaten aircraft, terrorism and its history, airport and flight security concept, bombs, chemical and biological weapons threats, sabotage, behavioral analysis, hijacking, and irregular passengers.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the basic concepts, components and threats to aviation security.
2) Lists the rules, physical practices, international treaties and their contacts for ensuring civil aviation security.
3) Understands the importance of flight and cabin crew on safety and security issues, activities carried out in aprons and aircraft.
4) The applications made in foreign airports, explain the bombs, hijack, threat levels and the behavior of the cabin crew in these situations.
5) Explain the possible risks and precautions in air cargo transportation.
