Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Informing the students about the Aviation Rules, job descriptions and work discipline that cabin crew must comply with. To raise awareness about the profession.
Course Content: The Airline`s organizational structure and the duties and responsibilities of cabin crew within the structure.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) It describes the organizational structure of airline companies and the duties and responsibilities of their units.
2) It defines and exemplifies the procedures and standard practices that cabin crew must follow.
3) The cabin crew analyzes performance management criteria and training processes.
4) It describes health precautions and personal/operational health practices in aviation.
5) It explains and evaluates the uniform rules and corporate representation principles for cabin crew.
5) It defines the duties and responsibilities of the Captain Pilot, Co-Pilot, Cabin Crew Manager, and Cabin Crew Member; and explains the importance of the hierarchical structure within the team.
7) Explains the hotel accommodation procedures and rules applicable to domestic and international assignments, and evaluates the principles of conduct that comply with these rules.
9) It defines the items and flight documents that cabin crew must carry on domestic and international assignments and evaluates their importance in terms of operational requirements.

1) Course Syllabus, course objective, information about the Cabin Crew Handbook, Captain/First Officer duties and responsibilities.
2) Duties and Responsibilities of a Cabin Crew Member, Duties and Responsibilities of a Cabin Supervisor,
3) Hierarchical structure in flight operations, Cabin Crew Competence and training process, Certificate Validity.
4) Cabin Crew Service Principles and Basic Rules, Being Responsible and Efficient in Duty,
5) Basic Rules; Being Reliable in Your Work, Personal Attitudes and Behavior, Rules for Cabin Crew Mobile Phone Use, Customs Regulations for Cabin Crew, Foreign Exchange Rules.
6) Out-of-basement duty and cabin crew procedures, alcohol consumption during out-of-basement duty, hotel rules to be followed.
7) MIDTERM EXAM
8) Deadhead Crew Rules
9) Flight Preparation; General Aircraft Cleaning, Toilet Cleaning, Receiving Catering Supplies, Safe Loading of Trolleys, Passenger Greeting and Seating.
10) Number of Cabin Crew and Composition, Inexperienced Cabin Crew Members, Foreign Cabin Crew Members, Cabin Crew/Cabin Supervisor Undercapacity, Use of Common Language
11) Checking and Securing Crew Baggage: Mandatory Documents, Aircraft Briefcase/Flight Documents.
12) Communication Channels, Cabin Crew Health Precautions
13) Pre-flight and in-flight meals, periodic health checks, workplace accidents, individual representation of the airline company, and uniform regulations.
14) Appearance and Personal Behavior, Points to Consider While Wearing the Uniform, Items Cabin Crew Must Carry With Them
