Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to demarcate science and scientific from metaphysical thoughts, ideologies and pseudo-sciences.
Course Content: In this course, the characteristics of scientific knowledge and basic knowledge and skills related to scientific approaches will be examined.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to explain the basic concepts of science
2) To be able to comprehend the necessity of scientific thinking in daily life
3) To be able to distinguish between a scientific product and a non-scientific product
4) To be able to express a question scientifically.
5) To be able to evaluate the subjects of psychology by a scientific point of view.

1) Defines contemporary developments, approaches and basic concepts in the field of Political Science and Public Administration at national and international level.
2) To have knowledge about the main theoretical debates in the field of Political Science and Public Administration.
3) Relates the interaction of Political Science and Public Administration with other social sciences (philosophy, history, sociology, law, economics, business administration).
4) Examines the political and social processes, problems and the causes of these problems in Turkey and in the world, evaluates them in an interdisciplinary dimension and with a critical perspective.
5) To be able to conduct research in the field of Political Science by using common methods and respecting ethical values.
6) To be able to design and lead research and scientific texts on field-specific topics on their own or in team work.
7) To be able to express his/her opinions, thoughts and suggestions for solutions in written and verbally in the field of Political Science and Public Administration.
8) Uses computer software and information and communication technologies at the advanced level of the European Computer Driving Licence required by the field.
