Course Objectives: | Pharmacists having an important role in health protection play an active role in the provision of primary health care services. The aim of the course is to train the future pharmacists who understand the importance of the health literacy concept and provide evidence based health product consultancy based on the principles of health literacy. |
Course Content: | Students conduct evidence based health literacy practices by listening to lectures, attending, discussing and commenting , making presentations and preparing visuals. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Student discusses the basic concepts of heath literacy. 2) Student analyzes the responsibilities of the pharmacist regarding health literacy 3) Student discusses the role of the pharmacist in health protection. 4) Student runs research about the health products identified for use in health protection and shares the evidence based information. 5) Student runs research about selected community health problems and shares the evidence based information. |
