Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:	The aim of this course is to develop the students’ skills in interpretation in various fields and scenes.
Course Content:	Presentation of the interpreting skills required in the context of simultaneous interpreting and their competent use. Appropriate use, practice, and information about problem-solving.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To have detailed information about simultaneous interpreting
2) To have knowledge about various issues such as current issues, economy, and politics, etc. and approach them from a translator perspective,
3) To develop solutions for the problems that may arise during simultaneous interpreting
4) To carry out the preliminary studies and prepare the relevant terminology before the conference related to any field.

3) He / She takes ethical and practical training from beginning to advanced levels to develop consecutive and simultaneous interpreting skills in various fields such as health, media and law etc. Thanks to this training, he / she practices his/her profession in accordance with the standards of conference interpreting in various legal, health and media-communication fields nationally and internationally.
3) He / She acquires the ability to understand multicultural approaches in the field of translation and interpretation and reflects the efficient bilingual and bi-cultural practices on his/her works.
4) He / She knows and applies professional ethics, professional standards and practices in the field of translation and interpretation.
5) He / She applies basic research methods and theories in social sciences.
