Course Objectives: | To examine and discuss phonological and syntactic features of Turkish and English languages from the point of view of a translator. |
Course Content: | Comparative analysis of Turkish and English syntactically and structurally. Examining languages in terms of methodological and field researches with examples from both languages. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To develop grammar knowledge in both languages comparatively, 2) To develop the ability to understand and compare the language system of both languages, 3) To be able to compare different data of two or more languages systematically 4) To be able to see the different data of two or more languages, evaluate them critically and use the theories that reveal the existing similarities or differences, 5) To be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge on a subject in a different language field. |
