Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Examining the concept of Constitutional Law, which is the name of the course; Examining the contents of constitutions, how they are made and changed; It aims to explain the issues regulated by the Constitutions such as the state, government, democracy, fundamental rights and freedoms, and to explain the Constitutional Judiciary, which controls the compliance of laws with the Constitution.
Course Content: constitutional movement in Turkey will be taken out of the idea and roots in the historical process of constitutionalism. Analysis of the constitutional documents of the Ottoman period, the Turkish Constitution of the Republican Period will be analyzed. The 1982 Constitution and other constitutions of the Republican Period (Constitution of 1924 and 1961 Constitution) will be compared. The relationship between the need to limit state power and the idea of ​​constitutionalism will be discussed.
