Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Explore the fundamental concepts of international law
Comprehend the development of the modern international law
Analyze contemporary debates related to International law from different perspectives
Course Content: The origin and development of international law will be taken in the historical process. The current debates will be examined not only in the international law theory and philosophy but also in the sub-branches of concrete international law. Within this framework, the rules, implementations and recommendations adopted in a very different international law sub-branch including force-use, environmental law, maritime law, human rights and treaties law have faced a serious review or rethinking process. In this course, such cases and similar traditional international law areas will be evaluated in the light of current debates.
