Course Objectives: | It aims for students to master the basic concepts related to health tourism, the development of health tourism, recognition of the actors playing a role in health tourism, and the practices in the field of health tourism in Turkey and the world. It enables students to obtain detailed information about tourist health, medical tourism, elderly and disabled tourism, which are the subcategories of health tourism. It aims to help them master quality and accreditation, marketing and ethics in health tourism. |
Course Content: | General information about Health Tourism (tourist health, medical tourism, thermal tourism, elderly and disabled tourism), health tourism and its applications in the world and in Turkey, quality / accreditation in health tourism, ethical issues, marketing activities in health tourism (promotion, branding), health actors playing a role in tourism, government incentives, international health tourism. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows general information about Health Tourism (tourist health, medical tourism, thermal tourism, elderly and disabled tourism). 2) Knows the practices carried out within the scope of health tourism in the world and in Turkey. 3) Defines quality / accreditation practices in health tourism. 4) List the marketing activities (promotion, branding) in health tourism. 5) Understands the importance of international brand and reputation management in health tourism. 6) Defines the actors and government incentives playing a role in health tourism. |
