Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: In this course, it is aimed to create a general awareness and basic knowledge level of the participants by trying to convey how the capital markets work, how the relationship between fund suppliers and fund demanders is established, the instruments in the capital markets and the differences between them and the areas of use of these instruments.
Course Content: Definition And Functions Of Money And Capital Markets, Financial Institutions And Their Functions, Yield And Risks Of Capital Market Investment Instruments, Equity Bonds And Bills Markets, Basic And Technical Analysis And Effective Markets Hypothesis, Portfolio Management, Derivative Markets

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Familiarizes capital markets and capital market instruments by understanding the basic elements that make up the financial system and the basic working mechanism of financial markets.
2) Have basic knowledge about valuation methods of capital market instruments.
3) Gains information about the issuance processes and methodologies of capital market instruments.
4) Gains basic information about the institutions operating in the capital markets and the functioning mechanisms of these institutions.
