Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to define the healthy and risky newborn, to learn the transport process in order to transport risky newborns in a healthy way and to know the principles of individualized developmental care in risky newborns |
Course Content: | This course is to acquaint the students with risky neonatal health, care and diseases, follow-up and transport |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Newborn definition, characteristics and midwifery care approaches 2) Define the emergency situation and make emergency treatment. 3) Know and sort risky newborns 4) Allows the student to know the characteristics and transport of high-risk neonates 5) The student will be able to recognize, evaluate and attempt to recognize the characteristics of the newborn and the family that may affect the health of the child. 6) Gains the student the ability to work in a team understanding with other members of the medical team 7) Gains the student the ability to perform newborn physical examination. 8) Gains the ability to make newborn applications. |
