Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is for each student; The aim of this course is to provide the students with a general knowledge about laboratory rules, laboratory devices, preparation of solution and biochemical test methods, preparation of media by applying sterilization methods, preparation of appropriate samples, preparation of preparation and cultivation of media. |
Course Content: | Recognition of laboratory safety and rules, tools and materials used, microbiological testing techniques and sterilization techniques, biochemical and hematological testing methods to learn about the acquisition of topics and practices. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Define laboratory safety and recognize laboratory devices. 2) Knows the preparation of general and special media and makes the solution calculation. 3) Sterilize the medium and the tools it will use in the application. 4) Micropathological samples are examined under the microscope, separates the microorganisms, cleanses the microscope and ensures the safety. 5) Autoclave, pasteur oven with various devices such as the sterilization of various chemical agents and distinguishes the sterilization by applying the appropriate method. 6) Apply the techniques of sowing, isolation, passage, staining and culturing of bacteria. 7) Applies and interprets antibiogram tests. |
