Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is for each student; The aim of the course is to give general information about the diagnosis, treatment and prevention methods of the microorganisms causing the disease. |
Course Content: | Microorganisms classification, definition of infections and mechanisms of occurrence, diseases caused by microorganisms, laboratory diagnosis, treatment against infections, protection and control ways to gain knowledge and skills. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains the knowledge about Gram positive and negative bacteria that cause diseases in human. 2) Recognize and explain viruses. 3) Explain information about parasites. 4) List the information about fungi that cause diseases in human. 5) Apply knowledge about occupational risks in health care workers. |
