Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:	The aim of the course; to show students how the Turkish literature in the Republican period has changed after the previous periods; to explain the modernization and the development of poetry, novel and story in the last century; to introduce art groups of Turkish culture.
Course Content:	The course of Turkish literature in the Republican period, changing topics with the new regime, new trends in poetry, the birth of Anatolian poetry, local-rural themes, the development of Islamic poetry and socialist poetry, historical novels, processing social situation of city in the novel and the short story

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) They recognize Turkish literature in the Republican period.
2) They know what kind of differences in the Republican literature from the previous period there are.
3) They understand the local, cultural and rural elements in the literature.
4) They understand the local, cultural and rural elements in the literature.
5) They are able to comment on how the modern novel, which started in the previous period, gave professional examples in this period of Turkish literature.
