Course Objectives: | Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of political history, to learn the main lines of political history and to understand and understand the development of states in the historical process." |
Course Content: | Transition to Modern and Global World, Renaissance and Enlightenment Period, Superiorization of the West in the Sea, The Situation of Eastern Europe and Ottoman, General Situation in the World Before the French Revolution, French Revolution and Europe (1789-1815), Europe Between 1815-1848: Absoluteism-Liberalism-Nationalism, Ottoman Empire and European Diplomacy. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Recognizes the process immediately after the Middle Ages, the disintegration of Europe and the dynamics of modern Europe. 2) Relates the situation of the English and the Dutch in the 17th century, in context of the rise of Spain, its decline, and the factors behind it. 3) Recognizes basic transformations such as the Napoleonic Era, the European balance of powers, the French Revolution of 1789, the Napoleonic Wars and the Vienna Congress of 1815. 4) Investigates socio-political order and change after the Industrial Revolution. 5) Examines the impact of the French Revolution on Europe and its environment and the factors leading to World War I. 6) Examines the causal relationship between power dynamics and periodic dynamics in different periods in Europe. |
