Course Objectives: | To train students who can see and analyze how gender differences create a power relationship in the social and political structure, and who have conceptual and methodological knowledge of a number of factors from theoretical discussions in political science to its practices reflected in society. |
Course Content: | Social gender concept, media and gender, gender and education, political participation, gender works, social gender and popular culture, law, economy, health. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Develops awareness of the formations and consequences of gender differences in the social structure. 2) They can look at the basic concepts of political science such as political representation, democracy, participation, human rights, citizenship, nationalism, democracy, how it has developed against women, from a historical and theoretical point of view. 3) Learns the struggle of women in social and political movements. -Improves the ability of writing and presenting in assignments to be prepared with critical thinking. |
