Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The main purpose of this course is to explain the basic principles and techniques of financial management in health institutions. The aim of this course is to enable health management students to approach the process of financial problems with a financial manager's perspective.
Course Content: Fundamentals of finance, objectives of finance function in health institutions, financial models in health sector, types of financial statements in health institutions, capital structure in health institutions, stock in health institutions, budgeting in health institutions and capital budgeting, payment methods in health institutions, financial risk management will be taught.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Understand the principles and techniques of financial management,
2) Learn the finance structure of health sector
3) Develops the ability to analyze and comment on health sector by using financial statements,
4) Learns financial planning and control tools and defines business strategy for health institutions
