Course Objectives: | 1. Provide a comprehensive introduction to the key elements of the business organisation, and interrelations between the firm and its environment 2. İşletmenin temel fonksiyonel alanlarına kritik bir bakış açısı kazandırma 3. Build a foundation of knowledge on the different theoretical approaches to management 4. Develop analytical and conceptual skills to identify the links between the functional areas in organisations, management practices and the business environment. |
Course Content: | This is an introductory course, which is designed to engage the undergraduate students with the key concepts, debates in the study of business and management, and relations within and outside the organization; provide . a foundation for understanding the functional areas of business and how they contribute to the management of a firm. Types, aims, establishment of businesse; basic conceps in business and management; environment and relations, ethics and social responsibility of businesses, business in a global sense; businesses as systems and functions of business will be held. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) understand the evolution of the business organisation and management thought, identifying the interconnections between different areas of science 2) defines different types and environments that businesses functions 3) grasp the importance of wholistic view in business organizations and the mutual realationships between the systems 4) comprehends different functions of businesses and how they function basically 5) deduce the dynamics and necesities og global business world |
