Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to know insurance practices and risk factors, to obtain information about payment systems, to understand the place and importance of private insurance in social security systems, to follow the current developments in the field of Social Security in our country.
Course Content: The social security system, health insurance and applications in Turkey, payment systems and courses are covered by general health insurance.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Reviews the health system and its subsystems from a financial macro perspective.
2) Explain the health financing resources and the importance of diversity.
3) Classify health expenditures by source and distribution and explain the importance of sustainability of health expenditures.
4) Explains the concepts of insurance and insurance and comprehends the basic working principles of insurance.
5) Discusses Private and Public Health Insurance, understands the insurance law in general terms, its authorized bodies, relations between them and their importance.
6) Determine the organization and function distribution and structuring in private health insurance institutions and relations with service providers.
